HANDMADE CERAMIC MOSAICS
The last few years I have been finding myself looking at the world through new eyes unintentionally and realize this has been due to taking myself outside to sketch. I found myself searching for a way to use my sketching in my ceramic work.
I spent time going into my studio experimenting with mark making, colour and layering. I would fire these experiments, and then make more. Finally I started working with this hodge-podge and found that in fact I was story telling through my ceramic imagery, that was based on my own observation of my little bit of the world.
